I lead the Space & Terrestrial Autonomous Robotic Systems (STARS) Laboratory, where we develop robots that perceive, learn, and act intelligently in complex, dynamic environments—from Earth to space. My goal is to build flexible and collaborative machines that can work safely and effectively alongside people. I currently hold the Canada Research Chair in Collaborative Robotics.
I’m honoured to be serving as General Chair of the Canadian Conference on AI, Robots & Vision (AI/CRV) 2027, taking place in Toronto next June! AI/CRV is Canada’s premier venue for original research across AI, robotics, and computer vision. See this year’s AI/CRV website for more details.
I’m recruiting one or two postdocs for Fall 2026 onward! I’m looking for talented researchers to work on exciting projects in robotic manipulation, learning, and vision. See the Laboratory page for more information.
I’m serving as an Area Chair for the Conference on Robot Learning (CoRL) 2026, to be held in Austin this November. This year drew a record number of paper submissions—very exciting times for robot learning!
